Name your Dream Out loud
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.- Proverbs 18:21
God places visions and desires in our hearts for a reason. I believe he provides us with glimpses of the work he intends for us to accomplish here on earth. These sparks of ideas, dreams, or passions aren't random; they are valuable indicators. They point us in the direction he wants us to follow, even when the full picture isn't clear.
When God gives you a dream, it’s important to name it out loud. Saying it aloud isn’t just for motivation; it’s a way of acknowledging that God placed it there and you are committing to whatever his will looks like for that dream. Your words should be a way of saying, “God, I see what you’ve put in me, and I want to do it your way.”
Speaking the dream out loud also opens the door for God to guide you. You can ask him: What steps should I take? Which direction makes the most sense? How can this dream glorify You? When you talk to God about it, you invite his wisdom to shape your vision instead of trying to force it on your own.
God’s dreams for us aren’t just about success or personal gain: They're about impact. Speaking about the vision with confidence and faith keeps your focus on God and gives him access to the dream and life that’s bigger than you.
Keep speaking. Keep affirming. Keep dreaming, Momma.
Write it down, MAKE it clear!
“Then the Lord replied: Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”- Habakkuk 2:2
I occasionally experience physical dreams. For many years, I believed that Habakkuk 2 was solely about creating the vision I desired. Looking back, I now realize that God had already given me the vision by placing those desires and dreams in my heart. My responsibility was to write it down and keep it close so that I could walk in it according to his will. In Habakkuk 3, the prophet states, “I have heard of your fame and stand in awe of your deeds.” Once God speaks, it's already done. Writing the vision helps prevent it from falling by the wayside and encourages us when our circumstances look nothing like what God has promised.

Writing the vision also helps clarify the daily steps we can take to move closer to that dream. These steps don't need to be large or perfect; consistency is what matters most. Seeing the vision written keeps us focused and reminds us of what we are working toward, especially on days when motivation is low. It helps us remain grounded and intentional, keeping our attention on what truly matters and protecting us from distractions that don't support the life God is calling us to build.
Get you an accountability partner
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”- Proverbs 27:17
Don’t try to walk this journey alone. Keeping dreams alive is hard enough without having to carry the weight by yourself. God never meant for us to do life on our own. In the Christian walk, we are taught to stay connected, to lean on one another, and to grow together in faith. Community keeps us grounded. It reminds us of who we are when doubt creeps in and strengthens us when our faith feels weak.
The same truth applies to chasing your dreams. Dreams need encouragement just like faith does. When you surround yourself with genuine people who truly want to see you win, your dreams feel possible again. These are the people who pray for you, speak life into you, and remind you of your purpose when you feel tired or discouraged. Walking with others does not take away from your journey. It adds strength to it. When faith and dreams are nurtured in community, both have room to grow and flourish.
Focus More on Serving, Less on Money
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”-Matthew 6:21
Let's be honest, sometimes, we measure success by what we earn and forget the real reason behind our work. It's natural for us to focus on money because it's a clear, tangible reward. But we must remember that when God gives us ideas, visions, or “downloads,” we should view them as opportunities to serve others. True success comes when our primary focus is on serving, helping people, and adding value. Money will naturally follow, but it shouldn't be the main goal. On this walk, doubt may creep in, and you may not always feel like you have enough. I'm here to tell you, you do, and you will. When God places these nuggets in us, he provides everything we need to make it happen.
Keep God at the "CENTER" of it all.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." -Matthew 6:33
On this journey of keeping my dreams alive, I've learned a very important lesson: Always keep God at the center of it all. No matter what, consult him first on every decision, every step, and every idea. Not friends, family, or even a spouse. While I may speak with them later for advice or support, I've realized that God knows me and my dreams better than anyone else.
Keeping God at the center means letting him guide the vision he placed in your heart. It means seeking his wisdom before making plans, asking for his direction before taking action, and trusting his timing even when things seem unclear.

Putting God first also brings peace and confidence. Instead of being overwhelmed by opinions, doubts, or fear, we can move forward knowing that our dreams are rooted in his plan. When God is at the center, every goal we pursue has a greater purpose and becomes part of a bigger story only he can write.
